Monday Night Drinking Club I

Every Monday we go to Dronning Louise and drink beer that our local bartender, Chris, has found for us. November 7th he'd dug up Eku beer from the october fest. After christmas I expect we'll be drinking christmas ale until easter, and after easter I'm looking forward to the easter ale. :-) Shot at f/2.8 with 1600 ISO in 1/60 second at a 75mm distance.

This is Bjarke in action with Martin at his side. I only brought along the 50mm f/1.4 lens to the concert as I planned on dancing quite a bit. It's always good fun dancing with the camera on my back, but their bug, rock, cha-cha and swing was too excelent not to. Purple II

And this concludes the Rain Dogs concert. As I'm sure you've noticed there's quite a lot of footwork in such a concert. But it was a lot of fun, the audience didn't mind me (but some actually came up to me to suggest some shots), and the band did an occational pose when they saw me. This last picture was taken with f/1.4 at 400 ISO in 1/125 second.

Machiatto

Look at the definitions for Macchiato. To make it all more confusing, I've called my coffee Machiatto. It's a single shot of espresso with a little bit of steamed skimmed milk and a bit of foam on top. Here in a Jägermeister shot glass next to my espresso machine. Taken at f/4.5 at 1600 ISO in 1/15 second. PS, my understanding of a macchiato is a shot of espresso with full a little bit of full cream that has been slightly whipped (this is how the coffee bar Fredrik at the University of Oslo makes it). And since I'm not too fond of cream, the Machiatto is a great improvement.

Marienlyst

This is a picture of NRKs headquarters. NRK is Norways national broadcasting company. This time I went for a greener variant of sepia. The clock you see was a sign of NRK in the 70s and early 80s, so it fits the series on old lenses well. :-) The picture was taken at f/2.8 (as I cannot stop this lens down without modifying it) at ISO 100 in 1/800 second.

This image is from this mid-summer when I was out with members from Oslo Domkirkes Ungdomskor at a cozy outdoor pub. This is our conductor. It's taken at ISO 800 in 1/100 second with a f/2.8 aperture. It was set to shutter priority and the -1 stop exposure bias has been corrected for during post-prosessing. Unfortunately, there isn't much open source noise reduction software available and since I was at home I haven't been able to use any. Sorry about that.

My first lens out is a Hanimex 72-162mm f/3.5 FD-mount lens that I use with an adapter that gives 1.26x magnification. This is my defacto concert-lens, the range is just perfect for the matter. This picture was taken at ISO 800 in 1/60 seconds without flash

This is the first picture I put up here taken with my Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 lens. It's f/2.8 at 75mm with a 2x converter. The 2x converter really takes a lot of the image, so no wonder that Tamron advices against it in their manual.

I always fall for cellists. I love the sound of the cello. I love the shape of the cello. And look what the cello has to say on the subject. You'll notice that the last string is broken. The poor little thing, I felt like fixing it right away, but it wasn't mine and I'd probably make it worse
