Nanny Ogg & Granny Weatherwax

During Kulturnatten in Ribe, two of my girlfriend's colleges posed for me. Great outfit, girls! Also used this for my contribution to the Halloween Challenge at Tips from the Top Floor

Michael played at the conservatory during Kulturnatten (ref our picture of the shooting session) and as always he played great and gave us some great shots

Teleshooting

During Kulturnatten me and Mogens were taking concert pictures with his 500mm lens (and of course an external shutter)

Say Tuna

Mogens decided to give me his modelling shot while we were trying out his new flash

Nik Portrait

This is the last picture from Mogens for now. At 1600 ISO in 1/100 second f/2.0, I did a little pose at Sands, one of our favorite bar/restaurants. Not the most charming picture, but I like it a lot anyways

Cowgirl

ISO 400 in 1/50 second. This is just after our Dolly Parton party where Maria did a great pose for Mogens

Turkish mama

Taken at 400 ISO in 1/30 second and slightly cropped to move her a bit right in the picture. We were on a small trip to meet local Turkish people. I had only this one shot at her; she was busy, and the bus was about to leave witout me...

Late

Taken at 1600 ISO in 1/8 second. Kids on holiday tend to run about and never stand still. Being new to this manual-lens-universe I had to play with my nephew all day to make him tired and take photos in the evening (which actually didn't make the job any easyer). Here on the balkony at our hotel

Pool

Mogens was crazy enough to leave his 28-135mm IS lens at home and go on holiday to Turkey with a 35-70mm FD mount Soligor lens. This and the next two posts are by him. This is his nephew in the pool. The image has been cropped a bit to take away the pool-side and lots of water

Marienlyst

This is a picture of NRKs headquarters. NRK is Norways national broadcasting company. This time I went for a greener variant of sepia. The clock you see was a sign of NRK in the 70s and early 80s, so it fits the series on old lenses well. :-) The picture was taken at f/2.8 (as I cannot stop this lens down without modifying it) at ISO 100 in 1/800 second.

This image is from this mid-summer when I was out with members from Oslo Domkirkes Ungdomskor at a cozy outdoor pub. This is our conductor. It's taken at ISO 800 in 1/100 second with a f/2.8 aperture. It was set to shutter priority and the -1 stop exposure bias has been corrected for during post-prosessing. Unfortunately, there isn't much open source noise reduction software available and since I was at home I haven't been able to use any. Sorry about that.

Bicycle in autumn

Not the nicest bicycle around, but it caught my eye on my way to the conservatory today. Taken with a 28mm f/2.8 Miranda M42 mount lens at ISO 200 in 1/8000 second at f/2.8, slightly over-exposed.

Self Portrait 3

This picture is taken with my 37mm f/2.8 MIR-1 M42 mount lens without filters at ISO 400 in 1/50 second. Just like earlier today this is a self-portrait taken at Vestjysk Musikkonservatorium in Esbjerg.

Self Portrait 2

This picture is taken with my 37mm f/2.8 MIR-1 M42 mount lens without filters at ISO 400 in 1/50 second. I was reminded to take self-portraits when looking through my books, so this was my task for this image and the next. Both are from the same room at Vestjysk Musikkonservatorium in Esbjerg

Candlelight

This image was taken during a wiskey party at my friend Mogens' place. Mogens will help with other interesting lenses later in the show. ISO 1600 in 1/800 seconds, adding a bit exposure to give it extra glow. No cropping

A shot of my nextdoor neighbour during the Good Music festival here in Esbjerg. Again using the 72-162 lens, 1600 ISO in 1/160 seconds, no flash. I've cropped the image slightly to remove an item that just came in the picture on the right-hand side

Horn

This is my first picture in my series of pictures taken with a Canon EOS 20D and old manual-focus lenses. My first lens out is a Hanimex 72-162mm f/3.5 FD-mount lens that I use with an adapter that gives 1.26x magnification. This is my defacto concert-lens, the range is just perfect for the matter. This picture was taken at ISO 800 in 1/60 seconds without flash

Duck

This is the first picture I put up here taken with my Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 lens. It's f/2.8 at 75mm with a 2x converter. The 2x converter really takes a lot of the image, so no wonder that Tamron advices against it in their manual.
