Learning the guitar

This concert just got cozier. I thought Mogens had a picture of this as well but couldn't find it in his archive.

Fishing

From Christina's and my trip in Malta. This was shot while at a restaurant at 180mm, 100 ISO in 1/320 seconds with f/6.3. I've used this trip to try out Adobe Lightroom Beta4, and so far I'm quite content with it

Pavoni

My Pavoni lever espresso machine arrived a few days ago. It's such a beauty that I'm sure it'll pose in many of my photos to come. Now if only I could handle the coffee making. ;-) Shot in 1/80 second at f/2.8 with 1600 ISO

Water lilly

I'm working on getting to know my 75-300 IS lens. While in the bothanical gardens at Tøyen in Oslo with my girlfriend I practiced shooting water lillys. This one is shot at f/6.3 in 1/400 second at 120mm with 400 ISO.

Vignir

Vignir, 2 week old icelandic horse. Shot at 75mm and f/2.8 in 1/1250 second with 200 ISO. Very difficult to shoot this cutie as he kept coming towards me to be cuddled with every time I sat down to take his picture. :-)

Why?

Mogens keeps reminding me to update my photoblog and I would very much like to, so the big question is: why the wait? Well, the usual reasons I'm afraid: too much work, too much study, exams coming up, lots of dancing and practicing and spending my time with my girlfriend. The server also gave me headaches that I had to figure out first, so it's just been pushed back. Sorry about that. I haven't stopped snapping, but it's been less than usual. But I still have a nice backlog of photos to post, so they'll be coming shortly.
PS, shot at 75mm with 400 ISO and f/2.8 in 1/80th second

Recorders for sale

Again I'm shooting with my 28mm f/2.8 manual focus lens, this time at 400 ISO in 1/60 second. This David Coomber Fehrn 415 recorder in american boxwood and Bodil Diesen 440 recorder in european boxwood are for sale at the moment, and I'm rather pleased with the picture taken of them on top of the piano forte.

Ms Kasket Karl

Mea culpa, this image should have been out LOOONG time ago! Good news is, I'm back! :-) Moved, new ISP, same couch. :-) This is from our little trip out to Kasket Karl after the Very Big Band '06 concert. Loads of interesting people who demanded their shot taken or were pushed into having their shot taken by others, but this one was by far the best. :-) Shot with f/1.4 at 1600 ISO

Mogens going home from the Monday Night Drinking Club

Shot in 1/25 seconds at f/1.8 with a whopping 3200 ISO! I'm using 3200 ISO to try to add more grain to my black & white pictures, but my iPhoto's RAW converter makes it intro a matrix rather than grains

Not the sharpest of images, but I love it as I think it captured Susanne quite well. :-) Shot at f/1.2 in 1/10 second with 800 ISO. Should have bumped up the ISO settings a notch, but people were passing in front of me all the time, so no time to redo the shot

Shot at this years second thursday café at the conservatory. I'm practicing portrait photography using my dad's 30-something year old Yashica lens and getting great results. These next few pictures will be from this session, but this is the only coloured one. Shot at f/1.2 in 1/80 sec with 1600 ISO.

Balje på stol

I'd been doing my dishes. I'm not always the first to clear the stuff away, and here I was coming back from practising and found that the light from my powerbook was giving it a nice light, so yet another opportunity to use my manual focus lenses to do something fun. Autofocus would be no benefit here as it would just be jogging all over the place. Shot at f/2.8 in 15 seconds with 100 ISO

I haven't quite finished with Fredriksberg slottspark in Copenhagen. Over the fence I followed these two monkeys and got this nice shot of them. Shot at f/7.1 in 1/500 second with 400 ISO at 75mm (I should have brought a tele!)

Young raindeer

This was one of the last deer we met after having visited some incredibly shy deer. This one was young and tried to look couragous although he seemed a littlebit unsure about what was really going on. I was going full on my memory card, so while the rest have been shot in RAW, this one was shot JPEG at f/3.2 in 1/60 seconds with 400 ISO at 48mm

Posing deers

During our trip to 'dyreskoven' we visited several different kinds of deer. These were by far the cutest, although they had to be persuaded to come to us. Luckily my girlfriend had brought loads of bread while I was clicking away. They were rather suspicious to this guy with a box that sais click, but the bread was just too tempting. Shot at f/8.0 in 1/250 sec with 400 ISO at 30mm

Landfall

The last of my duck shots. :-) I waited for these ducks to come to shore and shot a single shot getting this one. :-) Goes to show that shooting big salves doesn't really help much, I don't believe I would have got this one with a high burstrate. Shot in 1/250 seconds at f/5.0 with 400 ISO and 75mm

This duck really drew the attention of the other ducks. A little, bread-loving, diva. .-) Shot at f/4.5 in 1/200 seconds with 400 ISO and 70mm. Oh, btw, happy birthday to me. ;-)

Grå hegre

Another Héron cendré (French, from the latin cendrea) or Blauwe Reiger og Bloureier (Dutch/Afrikaans). I found this site that could tell me that there were 6735 couples of these birds in 1992. Hey, I thought the ibis was an exotic bird when I first came to Brisbane. ;-) Shot at f/2.8 in 1/320 seconds with 100 ISO with 71mm zoom

Grey Heron

The day of Anne and Rasmus' wedding me and Christina went for a walk and met some Grey Heron's, called Fiskehejre in Danish and Grå Hegre in Norwegian. I've never seen these birds and there were lots of them in Fredriksberg park. Shot at 75mm f/4.5 in 400 ISO in 1/250 seconds

New Years Rocket

I was planning on taking a lot of rocket shots this new years eve, but unfortunately someone in the party desided we should go into a tall building to get a better view and the door to the balcony was shut, so we ended up looking at it through some office windows that had a rather bad reflection. So I didn't get any good shots, and this one, that was really only a test-shot to see if I had got the settings like I wanted them to, was the closest I came. Shot in 4/5 seconds at f/2.8 with 400 ISO, 38mm

Winter-Christina

This is my fabulous girl-friend, well dressed for a walk in these freezing months. Shot with 400 ISO at f/2.8 in 1/640 second with 75mm. The reason for the wide aperture is that I'd like to learn more about portrait shots and wanted to slur the background appropriately
